We can provide a range of training both in school and at our training centre. Bespoke courses can also be tailored for your specific needs.

talkboost KS1 and KS2

ChildSpeech has eight licensed tutors for this evidence based approach. It provides everything a school needs for a teaching assistant to deliver a wave 2 intervention for children who need some help with their speech and language skills in key stage 1.

TalkBoost supports language delayed children in Key Stage 1 and can boost a child’s communication by an average of eighteen months after ten weeks of intervention. TalkBoost has been developed by I CAN and The Communication Trust – leaders in the field of speech, language and communication.

early talkboost

Early Talk Boost is a targeted intervention aimed at 3-4 year old children with delayed language development helping to boost their language skills to help narrow the gap between them and their peers.

Findings show that after Early Talk Boost, children make statistically significant progress in their early language. On average they make 6 months progress after a nine week intervention helping them to catch up with other children their age. This is twice the amount of progress of children not having the intervention

makaton

The Foundation Workshop provides a detailed introduction to Makaton and combines a practical approach with theory and technical information.

Lectures cover research into sign and symbol use, symbol design themes, the use and purpose of Makaton and an overview of alternative systems of communication.  You will learn the signs and symbols for Stages 1-4 and Additional of the Core Vocabulary.
